Somewhere, a child named Amelia is loved like the moon at night, big and round, warm and bright.  That sounds like a good way to be loved.

This is a quote from a sweet and simple read aloud book called 'I Love You, Good Night' by Jon Buller and Susan Schade with illustrations by Bernadette Pons.  (There is an earlier version with illustrations by the author – both are quite nice, but I like the Pons variation with the charming mouse family and their goodnight rituals.)

Quoting from a favorite book is somehow perfect for the night sky print.  Honestly, we don't know as much about our customers as we probably should (being somewhat less inclined toward the business of the print and more toward the art...) but one thing we do know is that people who love and appreciate the print also love and appreciate books and words.

Some of us here at Indigo (that would be me) tend to read the prints out load as a proofing technique (headline, message and caption), and I can't help but think of the words of the message as they might be spoken aloud by a parent, grandparent, brother, sister, auntie... at story time.  Settling down, slowly, slowly.

I went to Amazon to learn more about the book as our library didn't have a copy... and I read through the customer reviews – something I rarely do.  There are some very touching stories about reading this book.  I mention this as an aside because one customer commented she had purchased this book to give to her Mother as a Mother's Day present... it being a cherished book from her childhood, long lost.  That's a cool idea.  Maybe I'll get my Dad a copy of that Mike Mulligan book come Father's Day.
