We have just completed this illustration of the Duke University Chapel.  The original idea was an image of the campus, a more general panoramic view.  But the intent of the builders has triumphed.  There is no view of the campus (at least that we could find) that is not dominated by this magnificent structure, built in the 30s I'm told, in the Collegiate Gothic style.  The building was placed at the center of university, on a rise - the highest ridge of the West campus.  Thus, the Duke University horizon is very much the Duke Chapel horizon.
